Personnel of the 2 Garrison led by the Commander, Air Commodore Eric Yirenkyi participated in a health walk with the Western Regional Minister, Honourable Joseph Nelson on Saturday 19 July 2025. The walk, organised by the Western Regional Coordinating Council under the theme “Healthy People, Wealthy Region,” began at Takoradi Mall and ended at Sekondi Gyendu Park.

The event brought together security services, civil society groups, and residents to promote physical wellbeing and regional unity. It ended with aerobics and free medical screening.

Hon Joseph Nelson praised the inclusive turnout and urged continued support for regional development initiatives. He thanked the Ghana Armed Forces and other stakeholders for their support.
