ENGINEERING

The Engineering Wing is subdivided into the following Squadrons:

a. Mechanical Engineering Squadron (MES) Air. The MES (Air) is responsible for first line and second line servicing of all aircraft held in the Unit. The Squadron is also responsible for the repair and rectification of aircraft engines and

b. Mechanical Engineering Squadron (Ground). The MES (Ground) is responsible for the first line and second line servicing and repair of Class I ground support equipment, and second line servicing of Class II ground support equipment held in the Unit. MES (Ground) is also responsible for the operation and detailing of specialist vehicles on charge to the Unit, first line servicing of vehicles under control of the Mechanical Transport Flight. This is done in accordance with the relevant publications and manuals.

c. Electronic Engineering Squadron (EES). The EES is responsible for the satisfactory servicing and repair of Electricals, Instruments and radios including photographic equipment and navigational aids. They also carry out the first line and second line servicing of all ground electronic equipment in accordance with the relevant publications, manuals, and Ghana Air Force Engineering Staff Instructions.
