AFB TAK HOLDS FIRST QUARTER RELIGIOUS PARADE

Air Force Base Takoradi on Thursday 28 March 2024 held its first quarter Religious Parade at the auditorium of the Air Force Recruit Training School (AFRTS) under the theme, “Whom Shall I Fear”. 

 

 

In her remarks, the Commander Flying Group, Group Captain Selasse Agbenyefia expressed her profound gratitude to God for his grace and guidance throughout the first quarter of 2024. She said that it was a blessing to be counted amongst the living and to fellowship with colleagues in the service. She added that, it presented an opportunity to reflect on life, count the blessings, pray over the challenges and celebrate the gains made.

 

 

Group Captain Agbenyefia iterated that, the religious parade was also to show appreciation to God for the countless mercies bestowed on all personnel of the Base. She stressed that the theme for the event had come at the right time to compliment the lent season for Christians and Ramadan for Muslims. She asked all believers to continue to pray for all stakeholders of the Base.

 

 

Group Captain Agbenyefia seized the opportunity to counsel personnel to desist from indulging in social vices that could impede their success and urged them not to hesitate to make suggestions or observations through the chain of command to the Base leadership.

 

 

In the word of ministration, Flight Lieutenant Moses Ntiamoah Abankwah reminded the gathering that none of them was brought into this world by accident but by divine miracle. He added that God had a strategy for everyone and personnel must learn to walk righteously with God.

 

 

Delivering the Islamic exhortation, Flying Officer Ibrahim Mohammed emphasised that men should be fearless in all circumstances and that could be possible if they kept faith with Allah. He chronicled the story of Musah (Moses) in the Holy Qur’an to buttress the point of how Allah could make a righteous man fearless.

 

 

Dignitaries present at the occasion included, Commanding Officer, 2 Battalion of Infantry, Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Atobrah Bondah, Commanding Officer, Air Force Recruit Training School, Wing Commander Suhuuba Newman Naab, Officers Commanding various Wings, Officers, Airmen and Defence Civilian Staff.
