Air Force Base Takoradi has commenced Continuation Training Course 1/2026 for newly posted Aircraftmen and Aircraftwomen Class II on Thursday, 22 October 2026.

In her opening remarks, the Course Commander, Flight Lieutenant Isabella Anna Nyameasem, welcomed the newly passed-out Aircraftmen and Aircraftwomen Class II to the Continuation Training Course. She urged them to uphold four core principles: discipline, integrity, resilience and professional development. She also emphasised the importance of teamwork, commitment and a willingness to learn, noting that the course would play a vital role in shaping their character and preparing them to become competent, dependable and professional Airmen of the Ghana Air Force.

The Guest of Honour, Commander of the Support Group at Air Force Base Takoradi, Group Captain Ransford Odenky Abbey, stated that although their basic training laid the foundation for becoming Airmen, the continuation course is essential for gaining the practical skills necessary for professionalism. He urged them to stay disciplined, inquisitive, resilient, learn from their instructors, maintain integrity and excellence.

The six-month course which comprises 86 personnel, including 66 males and 20 females, is aligned with the vision of the Chief of the Air Staff to build an effective and efficient Air Force driven by motivated personnel committed to excellence. It is designed to bridge the gap between recruit training and operational duties through practical instruction, mentorship and trade-specific training.

Also present at the ceremony were the Commanding Officer, Administration Wing, Wing Commander Abdul Aziz Sherif Mustapha; Officer Commanding Stock Control and Accounts, Supply Branch, Squadron Leader Stephen Kwasi Addae; and the Base Warrant Officer, SWOII Geni Semenyo Emelda.
