AIR FORCE BASE TAKORADI HONOURS RETIREES
On Friday, 16 May 2025, The Air Force Base Takoradi honoured fifteen of its Warrant Officers at a send-off ceremony.
The occasion was held to honour the airmen of the 1995 year group who are due to retire after providing thirty years of meritorious service to the Ghana Air Force, the Ghana Armed Forces and the Country at large.
In his speech, the Base Commander, Air Commodore Eric Yirenkyi mentioned that the gathering was befitting as it honoured three decades of dedication, courage and sacrifice made by the airmen.
He congratulated them on behalf of the CAS and wished them well as they transition into civil life.
He encouraged the retirees to apply discipline, among other values and skills acquired in the military in their future endeavours and remain in touch with the Air Force family.
The Master Air Warrant Officer, Senior Warrant Officer Class I (SWOI) Abdulai Bawa commended the military high Command and the Base for instituting the farewell package for the gallant retirees.
A representative of the 1995 Intake Group, Senior Warrant Officer Class II Sedode Joshua thanked Command for the honour and urged serving personnel to uphold the discipline and professionalism which has long been the hallmark of the Ghana Armed Forces.
