
AIR FORCE BASE TAMALE GRADUATES 29 IN AVIATION SECURITY
The Air Force Base in Tamale held a graduation ceremony on Friday, 18 July 2025, for 29 personnel from the Aviation Security (AVSEC) Department of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), after completing a six-week Basic Military Orientation and Training.
The trainees, made up of 20 males and 9 females, received training in aviation security, military drills, fire safety, policing, and civil aviation regulations to enhance their ability to safeguard aviation infrastructure.
The Reviewing Officer, Air Commodore Nana Adu Gyamfi, Base Commander, commended the graduates for their resilience and commitment. He described the training as a collaborative effort between the Ghana Armed Forces and GACL to build a professional aviation security force.
He urged the graduates to uphold integrity, discipline, and teamwork, describing aviation security as a national duty. He also thanked the Chief of the Air Staff and the Managing Director of GACL for approving the training, and acknowledged the instructors and staff for their efforts.
The event featured a drill display and award presentations, with Mr. Johnson Aniagyei named overall best trainee.
