AIR FORCE BASE TAMALE HOSTS PROVIDENT FUND SENSITIZATION PROGRAMME

The Air Force Base Tamale has hosted a five-member team from the Directorate of Resettlement on Friday 4 April 2025. The purpose of the visit was to educate Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff on the benefits of the Provident Fund and to equip individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary for effective financial planning and retirement preparation.

 

 

The Deputy Director Resettlement, Wing Commander Josephine Adjei-Ephraim in her lecture provided insights into the stellar performance of the Ghana Armed Forces Provident Fund. She emphasized the widespread issue of inadequate retirement planning among many individuals. Wing Commander Adjei-Ephraim shared critical steps for participants to secure a comfortable retirement, also outlining practical measures retirees can adopt to continue enjoying the fund's benefits.

 

 

Emphasizing the importance of proactive health management, she urged participants to adopt a healthy lifestyle and pay close attention to their dietary habits to minimize potential medical expenses during retirement.

 

 

The sensitization programme was attended by the Commander Air Force Training Command, Air Commodore Matthias Awuah, Commanding officers of the various wings, participants of the Flight Commanders Course, Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff of the Air Force Base Tamale and 69 Airborne Force.
