On Monday 6 January 2025, the Ghana Air Force Headquarters witnessed a significant ceremony as the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe officially marked his first day in office after being promoted to the esteemed rank of Air Marshal by the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Upon arrival at the Air Force Headquarters, Air Marshal Bekoe inspected a special Guard of Honour, exchanged pleasantries with Officers and Airmen after which he proceeded to his office to a surprise reception organised by his Staff Officers and Directors.

During the reception, Air Marshal Bekoe expressed heartfelt gratitude to the President for the trust reposed and honour bestowed in him. He emphasised that his promotion was a collective achievement, attributing it to the commitment, dedication and hard work of all personnel of the Ghana Air Force.

“This promotion is not mine alone; it belongs to every Officer, Airmen and Defence Civilian Staff whose efforts have made this possible. Let us continue to work together to achieve even greater success” he stated.
