AIR WIVES ORGANISATION PAY VISIT TO AFHQ
The Air Wives Organisation (AWO) have paid a visit to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe on Tuesday 31 October 2023 at the Air Force Headquarters.
The purpose of the visit was to seek support from the Chief of the Air Staff for the annual Food Bazaar, an event organized by AWO to promote the businesses of the spouses of Air Force personnel during the festive period.
During the visit, the President of AWO, Mrs Fanny Agyen-Frempong expressed the organisation's heartfelt congratulations to AVM FAK Bekoe on his assumption into office as the Chief of the Air Staff. She commended his distinguished leadership and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the Air Force to even greater heights.
In a supportive gesture, the Chief of the Air Staff, AVM FAK Bekoe graciously donated an amount of Twenty-Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (¢25,000) to aid in their noble cause. Expressing his admiration for the incredible work carried out by the organisation, the CAS noted that it was a great initiative and also shared his commitment to making a positive impact within the AWO community.
The President and other members of AWO thanked CAS for the donation and pledged to utilize the funds responsibly to ensure its maximum benefit. As the Air Wives Organisation gears up for their event, they extend an open invitation to individuals and businesses willing to join hands with them in furthering their cause.
Present at the meeting were the Chief Staff Officer, Air Commodore Eric Yirenkyi, Director Administration, Group Captain Sophia Adzo Jiagge, Service Financial Comptroller, Colonel Benjamin Blay, Officer Commanding Flying Wing, Air Force Base Accra, Group Captain David Nkansah and other representatives from the Air Wives Organisation.
