AIRFORCE CADETS VISIT  69 AIRBORNE FORCE IN TAMALE

Flight Cadets of Regular Career Course 63 (RCC 63) from the Ghana Military Academy have paid a visit to the 69 Airborne Force in Tamale on Friday, 11 October 2024.

 

 

The aim of the visit was to provide the cadets with knowledge on the operational layout and administrative activities of the Unit as part of a 7-week training programme codenamed, "EXERCISE EAGLE CALL"

 

On arrival, the Training Officer of the 69 Airborne Force, Major Hubert Benjamin Nartey gave the cadets detailed briefing on the Organisational Structure, the Role and Responsibilities of the 69 Ariborne Force.

 

 

He highlighted the core mandate of the Unit as the  establishment responsible for the training of paratroopers of the Ghana Armed Forces; laying emphasis on the Unit's current designation as a Special Force Unit which conducts special ground and air operations as a quick reaction force and reserve to support operations conducted by the Ghana Army.

 

 

The Commanding Officer of the Unit, Lieutenant Colonel Louis Yaw Boakye encouraged the cadets to continue to give  their best during their training period and uphold the values of  professionalism, loyalty, and discipline in all their dealings as officers under training.

 

 

The visit ended with a tour of the Unit's training area where, the cadets witnessed demonstrations by the Special Forces Operatives showcasing their readiness in countering potential security threats in the Northern Sector of the country.
