BREAST CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED IN TAMALE

As part of the annual campaign to create breast cancer awareness in the month of October, a breast cancer health walk and screening took place at the Air Force Base Tamale and the 69 Airborne Force on Saturday, 21 October 2023.

 

 

The programme was aimed at creating awareness on the early detection and prevention of breast cancer. It was also to educate soldiers, wives and the surrounding communities on the effects of breast cancer and also to erase some misconstrued perception held about the condition in our society.

 

 

In his remarks, the Base Commander, Air Force Base Tamale, Air Commodore Joshua Mensah-Larkai commended the organizers of the program for the great job done and further stated that, the breast cancer awareness must not end in the month but go beyond the month of October.

 

 

The programme was witnessed by the Commanding Officer, 69 Airborne Force, Lieutenant Colonel Louis Boakye, Honorable Osman Jaato Alfred, Assemblyman for Yilonayilic Barwah Barracks, Kogni Electoral area and other communities within the vicinities.
