CAS COMMISERATES WITH PERSONNEL AND FAMILY OF THE LATE AIR FORCE BASE TAKORADI COMMANDER.

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe has paid a day working visit to the Air Force Base Takoradi to commiserate with personnel and the family of the late Base Commander, Air Commodore Godfried Sackey Parker on Monday, 27 November 2023.

 

 

Air Commodore Godfried Sackey Parker died on Sunday 26 November 2023 in Accra.

 

 

During a solemn durbar, the CAS expressed his heartfelt condolences to personnel and all stakeholders.  He said that he knew how difficult it was to lose a loved one especially, someone as affable and effective as the deceased Base Commander.

 

 

He assured personnel that the good works of the late Commander would continue regardless of the vacuum his demise had created.

 

 

The CAS therefore took the opportunity to introduce the acting Base Commander, Group Captain Selase Agbenyefia who is expected to fill in the gap.

 

 

AVM  FAK  Bekoe advised personnel to continue to uphold the discipline and support for Command and the acting Base Commander at this trying moment.

 

The durbar grounds which was filled with sadness saw personnel seize the moment to eulogise the late Air Commodore Godfried Sackey Parker who had just spent a little over a year as the Base Commander.

 

 

 They eulogised him as God fearing, a listener,  caring, discipline, affable and among others.

 

The Chief of the Air Staff and his entourage also visited the residence of the deceased Base Commander to mourn with the family and sign the book of condolence.

 

 

 

Dignitaries present at the gathering were the Base Commander, Air Force Base Accra, Air Commodore Eric Agyen- Frempong, Senior Officers from the Air Force Headquarters, Senior Officers, Officers,  Airmen and Defence Civilian Staff of the Base.
