CAS HOLDS DURBAR AT AFHQ

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe held an all-ranks durbar with personnel of the Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ) at the forecourt of the headquarters on Friday 13 September 2024 in Burma Camp.

The durbar served as an opportunity for CAS to address personnel on the achievements over the past year and discussing key challenges faced by the Ghana Air Force.

In his address, AVM Bekoe emphasised the significance of teamwork, dedication and commitment to duty, urging personnel to continue striving for excellence in their operations in building a smart Air Force.

He further noted that, ongoing projects around the various bases were progressing well and also shared insights into future plans and initiatives aimed at enhancing the readiness and capabilities of the Ghana Air Force.

AVM Bekoe advised personnel to remain neutral and professional in their discharge of duties during the upcoming  general elections to ensure a peaceful election in the country. He  additionally cautioned personnel to desist from engaging in illegal activities such as recruitment fraud, armed robbery, illegal mining (Galamsey), among others which would stain the reputation of the Ghana Air Force.

The durbar provided a platform for personnel to engage openly with leadership, fostering a sense of camaraderie and collective responsibility among personnel.  At the durbar, personnel expressed their appreciation for  the leadership's transparency and encouragement as they prepare for the year ahead.
