CAS OUTLINES VISION FOR A TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED AND MISSION-READY GHANA AIR FORCE
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Eric Agyen-Frempong, has reaffirmed his commitment to building a dedicated and technologically advanced Ghana Air Force, capable of safeguarding the nation's territorial airspace.
He outlined his vision as: “To become a technologically relevant and mission-ready Air Force capable of defending Ghana's airspace against all threats, while supporting national development and contributing to regional security through highly motivated personnel committed to excellence and success.”
AVM Agyen-Frempong made these remarks during his maiden visit to Air Force Base Accra and Air Force Logistics Command on Tuesday, 10 June 2025.
Speaking at an all-ranks durbar, he emphasised continuity in leadership and pledged to build on the strong foundation laid by his predecessors. He highlighted ongoing efforts to expand operational platforms, infrastructural upgrade and enhancement of personnel capacity to ensure effective service delivery.
He also noted that the Air Force will continue to collaborate with the other arms of the Ghana Armed Forces, security services and governmental agencies to advance national security objectives.
Addressing welfare concerns, the CAS assured personnel that command is actively working to resolve issues related to accommodation and essential tools for work.
On discipline, AVM Agyen-Frempong issued a stern warning against any form of misconduct which would damage the image of the Ghana Air Force.
He encouraged all personnel to uphold high standards of personal discipline and maintain healthy lifestyles to remain fit and combat-ready.
The visit which started with the inspection a Guard of Honour made up of personnel of the Air Force Base Accra concluded with a tour of the base and barracks. During the tour, the CAS inspected ongoing projects and familiarised himself with current developments.
