The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) William Agyapong has reaffirmed his commitment to providing the Ghana Air Force with the necessary logistics to enable them to effectively and efficiently fulfill its mandate.

During his maiden visit to the Air Force Headquarters on Wednesday 7 May 2025, Lt Gen Agyapong commended the Air Force for its outstanding performance over the years in safeguarding Ghana’s territorial airspace. He also praised the Air Force for its collaborative efforts with the Ghana Army, Ghana Navy and other security agencies during joint operations.

Speaking at the headquarters, the CDS emphasised that his visit was part of a broader familiarization tour of all service headquarters. The objective, he noted, is to gain firsthand insights into their operations and explore innovative ways to enhance the image and effectiveness of the Ghana Armed Forces.

Lt Gen Agyapong and his entourage were taken on a tour of the Air Force Headquarters, including stops at the Oje Hall and the Operations Room, where he received a comprehensive briefing on the daily activities and strategic operations of the Air Force.
