Air Commodore Kwabena Kissiedu Manukure Atiemo has officially handed over command of Air Force Base Takoradi to Air Commodore Eric Yirenkyi in a short but symbolic parade on 14 May 2025.

The ceremony, held at the Base Headquarters was supported by the Ghana Navy Regimental Band. The transfer of the Baton of Control marked a seamless transition of leadership and operational authority.

In his remarks, Air Commodore Atiemo expressed confidence in the Base’s personnel to rally behind his successor who he congratulated. A seasoned pilot and senior officer with vast local and international experience, he now commands the Tactical Air Command at Bui.

Dignitaries present included senior military officers, other security services heads, traditional leaders, and corporate representatives within the metropolis.
