
CHANGE OF COMMAND AT TACTICAL AIR COMMAND, BUI
A brief but solemn ceremony was held on Monday, 12 May 2025, to officially hand over leadership of the Tactical Air Command at Bui. Outgoing Commander, Air Commodore Elvis King Arneson, formally handed over command to Air Commodore Kwabena Manukure Atiemo.
In his farewell remarks, Air Commodore Arneson expressed deep gratitude to the High Command and all personnel for their support during his tenure. He highlighted the progress made in operational readiness and inter-agency collaboration, and voiced confidence in his successor's leadership.
Air Commodore Atiemo, in his acceptance speech, thanked his predecessor for his exemplary service and pledged to build on the strong foundation laid. He called for unity, professionalism, and innovation as key to achieving their mission and enhancing national security.
The ceremony saw the signing of handing over notes, a symbolic transfer of the unit flag, marking the smooth transition of command and an inspection of the guard by the Outgoing Commander.
Tactical Air Command, Bui remains vital to Ghana’s air operations, surveillance, and support missions which are critical in national security and development.
