FLIGHT COMMANDERS COURSE ENDS IN TAMALE

A closing ceremony has been held for Flight Commanders Course 2/2024 on Friday 19 July 2024 at the Air Force Training Command (AFTRAC) in Tamale. 

 

The course was aimed at preparing the Officers for staff and leadership training and to provide an interim orientation training in basic staff course as well as enhance their overall professional knowledge.

 

 

During the course, participants were taken through topics such as service writing, communication skills and public speaking principles. Other areas included Air Estimate Processes, Land, Maritime and Air Battle Procedures.

 

The participants comprised 15 Air Force officers and 2 Army officers, making for a diverse group of military personnel.

 

 

The Commander, AFTRAC, Air Commodore Mathias Awuah in his address stated that he was confident that after 5 weeks of intensive interactions and learning, the course had broadened the horizons of the participants to make them better staff officers and leaders in their respective units.

 

 

 

He further added that the course had been able to establish comradeship among the participants and urged them to utilise this to their advantage. He also commended the level of discipline and cooperation exhibited by the participants throughout the course.

 

 

Air Commodore Awuah expressed his appreciation to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe, for his vision towards the training of personnel of the Ghana Air Force.
