GHANA AIR FORCE AIRCREW GRADUATE FROM MI-17 RECURRENCY TRAINING IN ZAMBIA

The Ghana Air Force has recorded another milestone in its continuous drive to enhance operational readiness and aircrew proficiency, with six (6) of its aircrew successfully graduating from a MI-17 Recurrency Training Course in Zambia.

 

 

The training, conducted by the Zambia Air Force (ZAF), took place at the MI-17 Helicopter Simulator Centre at Lusaka Air Force Base from 21 to 28 March 2026. The course was specifically designed to reinforce flight safety standards, sharpen operational skills, and ensure sustained competence in MI-17 helicopter operations.

 

The graduation ceremony was attended by senior officials, including the Defence Advisor of Zambia to the Republic of Ghana, Brigadier General Mwendaofyo, reflecting the strong and enduring bilateral cooperation between the Ghana Air Force and the Zambia Air Force.

 

 

The successful completion of the course marks yet another step in the Ghana Air Force’s commitment to continuous professional development and capacity building of its personnel.

 

 

The graduating aircrew are now better equipped with updated knowledge and critical skills to enhance operational effectiveness and contribute to improved aviation safety within their respective units.
