The Ghana Air Force Female Handball Team has emerged as the overall winners of the Pre-Season Handball Tournament held from 20 to 24 May 2026, at the Burma Camp Supply Handball Court.

The tournament, which brought together four competing teams under the theme, “One Game, One Spirit, One Unity,” was organised to prepare clubs and players ahead of the upcoming handball season while promoting unity, teamwork and sportsmanship among clubs and officials.

Demonstrating determination, teamwork and impressive tactical discipline throughout the competition, the Ghana Air Force team delivered outstanding performances to secure the ultimate title.

In the individual awards category, Miss Christiana Etwe was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, while Aircraftman Class I Atechon Ruth received the Best Goalkeeper award. Miss Edna Beyingi was also named the Best Player of the Final Match following her exceptional performance during the championship game.

Present at the event were guests from the various Service Headquarters, the Greater Accra Regional Sports Technical Director, Mr James Odoi Wilson and the Chief Executive Officer of the Award Centre, Mr Paa Kwesi, among other distinguished patrons and supporters.
