Precision, discipline and military tradition were on full display as the Ghana Air Force officially handed over command guard duties to the Ghana Navy during a colourful Guard Changing Ceremony held at the General Headquarters on Friday, 8 May 2026.

The ceremony, a proud and longstanding military tradition within the Ghana Armed Forces, symbolises the formal transfer of guard responsibilities from one Service to another while reinforcing professionalism, continuity, and inter-service cooperation.

For the past month, personnel of the Ghana Air Force diligently executed guard duties at the General Headquarters with a high sense of commitment and professionalism.

The Ghana Navy has now assumed responsibility for the next phase of guard duties, continuing the shared mission of safeguarding the integrity and traditions of the Ghana Armed Forces.

The event climaxed with synchronised precision drills and impressive military displays, reflecting the discipline, teamwork, and operational excellence that define the Ghana Armed Forces.
