GHANA AIR FORCE HOLDS A STATIC DISPLAY AND FLIGHT DEMONSTRATION OF THE FALCON 6X STATIC
On Tuesday 1 October 2024, the Ghana Air Force held an exclusive static display and flight demonstration of the Falcon 6X aircraft at the Air Force Base, Accra.
The event, which confirmed the longstanding relationship between the Ghana Air Force and Dassault Aviation also served as a formal introduction of the Falcon 6X. The aircraft is a state-of-the-art aircraft that promises cutting-edge technology, enhanced safety, comfort and ultra-efficiency.
Falcon 6X is the first extra widebody business jet and has an expanded cabin to ensure comfort and greater productivity.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe, praised Dassault Aviation for its longstanding partnership with the Ghana Air Force, a relationship spanning over 14 years.
AVM Bekoe expressed confidence that the introduction of an advanced aerospace technology, represented by the Falcon 6X, would contribute to the strategic goal of augmenting the fleet capabilities of the Ghana Air Force. The showcased Falcon 6X is the fourth of its kind produced and the first to land in Africa precisely Accra, Ghana, which according to AVM Bekoe signifies a great honour to the Ghana Air Force.
The Base Commander, Air Force Base, Accra, Air Commodore Eric Agyen-Frempong, highlighted the strong collaboration between the Ghana Air Force and Dassault Aviation, describing it as a symbol of their shared commitment to enhancing air capabilities while ensuring the safety and comfort of their VIPs.
In his remarks, the International Sales Manager and leader of the Dassault Aviation Team, Mr Igor Fain extended his gratitude to the Military High Command for the opportunity to present the Falcon 6X. He expressed optimism about the prospects of their partnership and reiterated Dassault Aviation's commitment to providing quality and excellent service.
The ceremony was attended by several notable figures, including former Chief of the Defence Staff, Air Marshal Michael Samson-Oje, as well as Serving and Retired Senior Officers and personnel of the Ghana Air Force.
