GHANA AIR FORCE VOLLEYBALL TEAM CROWNED CHAMPIONS AT GAVA LEAGUE

The Ghana Air Force volleyball team has emerged victorious in this year's Greater Accra Volleyball Association (GAVA) league tournament after they had competed with thirteen other teams from the men’s side and twelve teams from the women’s side respectively.

 

 

Both the men and women teams showcased their prowess on the court, defeating the El-Wak Wings team in a thrilling finale on Saturday 6 October 2024 at the El-Wak Sports stadium, Accra.

 

 

The tournament, which kicked off on Friday 5 April 2024, culminated in an exciting showdown as the Air Force Volleyball teams demonstrated exceptional athleticism. The men’s team triumphed over the El-Wak Wings men’s team with a score of 3-0, while the women’s team delivered an equally remarkable performance against the El-Wak Wings women’s team with a score of 3-0.

 

 

Following their victories, the Ghana Air Force volleyball teams were presented with a trophy and a volleyball by Wing Commander Ransford Abbey from the Air Force Base, Accra and Captain Habib Iddrisu from the Signal Regiment, celebrating their hard work and dedication.

 

 

The Greater Accra Volleyball Association league has played a crucial role in promoting volleyball in Ghana and the success of the Air Force teams will undoubtedly encourage more participation in this dynamic and competitive sport.
