GHANA ARMED FORCES HOLDS END OF YEAR RELIGIOUS PARADE

The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has held an End-of-Year Thanksgiving Religious Parade under the distinguished patronage of the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah on Friday, 20 December 2024 at Burma Hall, under the theme: ‘’ Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart’’. 

 

 

During the service, the Acting Director General Religious Affair(A/DGRA) Colonel Benjamin Kumi-Woode urged personnel to remain thankful to God for the peace we enjoy as a Nation and encouraged all to remain thankful to God for our leaders and continue to live in unity.

 

 

The Chief of the Defence Staff in his remarks, thanked God for seeing the Ghana Armed Forces as a family through another year and also extended his warm greetings to Officers, Soldiers and Defecse Civilian Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces. He highlighted on some significant achievements of the GAF, which included the appointment of the First Female as Head of Mission and Forces Commander of the United Nation (UN) Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF). He was also thankful to God as National College of Defence Studies has been granted Presidential Charter to become additional achievement included the Presidential Charter to become autonomous and award Diploma and Degree Certificate, as he also expressed gratitude for the acquisition of the largest ship in the history of the GAF.

 

 

Lt General Oppong-Peprah commended all ranks and Defecse Civilian Staff for the loyalty, integrity, dedication and professionalism exhibited in their conduct of operations geared towards safeguarding Ghana’s territorial integrity. He further applauded them for their professional roles in the just ended general election.
