TURKISH DA PAYS COURTESY CALL ON CAS

The Turkish Defence Attaché (DA) to Ghana, Colonel Ahmet Pakis, has visited the office of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe on Tuesday, 17 September 2024 at the Air Force headquarters, Burma Camp.

 

 

During the visit, Colonel Pakis used the opportunity to introduce himself as the Turkish Defence Attaché. He emphasised the importance of collaboration between the two countries in enhancing security and stability in the sub-region. He expressed Turkey's commitment to supporting Ghana's defence capabilities and fostering strong military ties.

 

 

Air Vice Marshal Bekoe welcomed the DA and discussed the importance of dialogue and cooperation in addressing contemporary security challenges.

 

 

The meeting also provided an opportunity for both leaders to discuss potential areas of cooperation, including joint military exercises, training programs and other initiatives that could further strengthen the defence relationship between Ghana and Turkey.
