The Zimbabwe Defence Attaché to Ghana and Nigeria, Colonel Phillip Kupe has paid a courtesy call on the Chief Staff Officer, Air Commodore Eric Yirenkyi at the Air Force Headquarters on Monday 22 April 2024.

Aimed at strengthening the existing bilateral relations between the two countries, the visit also afforded them the opportunity to discuss issues of mutual concern.

During the meeting, Colonel Kupe and Air Commodore Yirenkyi engaged in discussions concerning key areas of cooperation, including defence collaboration, security initiatives, and strategic partnerships. Both officials highlighted the importance of maintaining strong bilateral relations and fostering mutual understanding to addressing shared challenges effectively.

Colonel Kupe expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality accorded him at the Air Force Headquarters.

As the dialogue concluded, both officials reaffirmed their commitment to deepening the collaboration and cooperation.

Heralding a new chapter in bilateral relations, they both presented plaques to each other as a token of their partnership.
