The School of Trade Training

The School of Trade Training was established in 1960 to train personnel of the Ghana Airforce to acquire the requisite skills as technicians to maintain its fleet of aircraft. The school runs the non-technical and technical courses for a duration of 2 and 3 years respectively.

In addition to these courses, the school is usually tasked to by the Air Force Headquarters to provide facilities in other courses such as Instructional Technician Course, Engineering Administration Course and Middle Level Management Courses. Over the years, the school has provided training for numerous aviation organizations including Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, United Aviation Services and the Ghana Airports Company Limited.

In order to bridge the gap between academia and the job market, the school has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) for the Aerospace Engineering Programme to undergo 3 weeks of practical training during their long vacation.
