AFHQ DELEGATION PAYS A VISIT TO AVM CEK DOVLO (RTD)
As part of an ongoing series of engagements with some senior retired officers, a delegation from the Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ) has paid a courtesy visit to former Commandant of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, Air Vice Marshal Christian Edem Kobla Dovlo (Rtd), on Friday, 27 March 2026, at his residence.

The visit, which marks the third in the series and forms part of activities commemorating Ghana Month, was aimed at checking on his well-being and recognising his immense contributions to the growth of the Ghana Air Force and national security.
The delegation, led by the Deputy Chief Staff Officer (Administration), Air Commodore Sophia Adzo Jiagge, conveyed warm greetings from the Chief of the Air Staff and expressed profound appreciation for his distinguished service and enduring legacy within the Ghana Armed Forces.

In his remarks, AVM Dovlo (Rtd) reflected on his years of service and expressed gratitude to the delegation for the thoughtful visit. He encouraged continued efforts to strengthen the bond between retired and serving personnel, noting that such engagements foster unity, institutional memory and mutual respect within the Service.

The interaction was marked by shared memories and reflections, underscoring the strong sense of camaraderie that defines the Ghana Air Force.

At the end of the visit, the delegation presented gifts to AVM Dovlo (Rtd) as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation for his dedicated service to the nation. He, in turn, expressed sincere gratitude to the Chief of the Air Staff and the delegation for the honour.
