AIR FORCE BASE TAMALE HOSTS ANNUAL END-OF-YEAR FUN GAMES AND SOCIAL CELEBRATION
The Air Force Base Tamale organised its annual End-of-Year Fun Games and Social Celebration at the Base Sports Complex on Wednesday, 24 December 2025. A key highlight of the festive season, the event provided a relaxed and interactive platform that brought leadership and troops together, fostering camaraderie, boosting morale, and strengthening esprit de corps across the Base.

Marked by a high-spirited competition, Officers faced off Warrant Officers (WOs) and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) in football, volleyball, table tennis and tug-of-war. While the Officers claimed victory in football and the tug-of-war, the WOs and SNCOs were adjudged Overall Best Team following their dominant performance in volleyball and other disciplines.



The Base Commander, Air Commodore Nana Adu-Gyamfi, in his remarks commended all participants for their sportsmanship and expressed his sincere gratitude for the dedication shown by personnel throughout the year. Air Commodore Adu-Gyamfi entreated troops to balance the joy of the season with a sharp professional edge, maintaining peak vigilance and discipline. He shared a heartfelt message of goodwill wishing all personnel and their families a happy holiday season.

The day concluded at the Officers Mess, with a lively Kenkey Party. Officers hosted personnel to a spread of Kenkey complemented by a diverse selection of sides and refreshments. With an atmosphere filled with music and laughter, the event ensured that everyone entered the holiday season with a renewed sense of belonging and pride. Present at the event were the Commanding Officers of the various wings, Senior Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff of the Air Force Base Tamale and 69 Airborne Force.
