CAS ATTENDS 14TH JOINT GRADUATION CEREMONY AT KAIPTC
The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, was among the distinguished guests who graced the 14th Joint Graduation Ceremony of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) on Friday, 31 October 2025.

Delivering the keynote address, the Co-Founder of the West African Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP), Mr Emmanuel Habuka Bombande, congratulated the graduating students and urged them to continue striving for excellence and personal growth.

Speaking on the theme for this year’s ceremony, “Building African Agency for Peace and Security in a Changing World,” Mr Bombande underscored the importance of sustaining Ghana’s reputation as a beacon of peace and stability within the sub-region. He encouraged the graduates to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies to strengthen national peace and cohesion. “If our academic knowledge is not contributing to the sustainability of our national peace in Ghana, then we have failed,” he remarked.

In his welcome address, the Acting Commandant of KAIPTC, Air Commodore David Anetey Akrong, congratulated the Class of 2025 on their accomplishment and urged them to view this milestone as the beginning of a new chapter in their professional journey.

Delivering a speech on behalf of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the Chief of Staff to the Vice President, Mr Alex Segbefia, commended the Ghana Armed Forces for their continued leadership and stewardship of the KAIPTC, which has maintained its standing as a centre of excellence in peacekeeping education. He also lauded the Acting Commandant for his exemplary leadership and congratulated the graduates on their outstanding achievements.

The ceremony was attended by several senior officers, Professor Samuel Kwaku Bonsu, Rector of GIMPA, as well as other dignitaries, families, and friends of the graduands.
