CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF VISITS AVM EVANS SANTROFI GRIFFITHS (RTD)

As part of ongoing engagements, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, together with a delegation from the Air Force Headquarters, paid a courtesy visit to the former Commandant of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, Air Vice Marshal Evans Santrofi Griffiths (Rtd). The visit coincided with AVM Griffiths’ birthday, making the occasion even more special.

 

 

The visit forms part of the Ghana Air Force’s continuing initiative to strengthen ties with retired senior officers while recognising their immense contributions to the growth and development of the Service and the nation at large.

 

During the interaction, AVM Griffiths (Rtd) fondly reminisced about his years in service, sharing insightful experiences and reflections. He noted that the Ghana Armed Forces remains a well-structured institution and expressed his willingness to serve again if given the opportunity. He also encouraged the delegation to continue mentoring and imparting knowledge to the younger generation of personnel.

 

 

The atmosphere throughout the visit was warm and engaging, marked by lively conversations, shared memories, and mutual respect. AVM Griffiths expressed profound appreciation for the gesture, noting that the visit meant a great deal to him and his family, especially as it coincided with his birthday.

 

At the end of the visit, the delegation presented gifts to AVM Griffiths (Rtd) as a token of goodwill and appreciation for his distinguished service to the nation. In response, he expressed sincere gratitude to the Chief of the Air Staff and the delegation for making his special day memorable with such a thoughtful gesture.
