The Ghana Air Force has presented a formidable contingent for Exercise Tigers’ Path 2025 which takes place in the Akim Achiase general area from Monday 24 to Thursday 27 November 2025.

Participants in the four-day exercise are drawn from the Northern, Central, and Southern Commands, as well as the Ghana Navy, Ghana Air Force, and the Support Services Command.

The biennial event aims to sharpen the operational readiness of participating troops while equipping them with advanced knowledge in jungle craft, first aid, battle procedure, marksmanship, obstacle crossing, and vectoring and marshalling.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Guest of Honour and Chief of the Army Staff, Major General Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, underscored the importance of sustained training in today’s complex security environment.

He noted that modern warfare demands personnel who are physically fit, mentally agile and operationally effective. He urged participants to embrace teamwork, coordination and professionalism throughout the exercise.

Major General Gbetanu further highlighted the evolving nature of contemporary threats which include terrorism, cyber insecurity, organised crime, and internal instability and stressed the need for continuous training to maintain the readiness of troops.

He also charged instructors and umpires to maintain the highest standards of fairness, credibility and professionalism as the exercise unfolds.
