KYIDOM HENE OF PEDUASE KITASE COMMISSIONS COMMUNITY MODERN LIBRARY

The Kyidom Hene of Peduase Kitase, who is the Unit Warrant Officer at the Air Force Headquarters, Senior Warrant Officer Class II Nana Kofi Asare Agyemang Okofrobo II, has commissioned and generously donated a state-of-the-art library to his community on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, at Aburi in the Eastern Region.

The project sponsored by Dr Laud Abban Brown is aimed at enhancing academic performance across multiple disciplines. It also focuses on addressing various educational challenges students may encounter, while simultaneously expanding learning opportunities through innovative programmes and resources. Furthermore, the initiative seeks to bridge the technological gap among their counterparts in other communities. The facility is fully furnished with reading desks, shelves, a wide selection of books, and an ICT corner equipped with new laptops.

Senior Warrant Officer Class II Nana Kofi Asare Agyemang, in his address, challenged the students to make diligent use of the facility and its resources, noting that prominent people in society are made through learning and discipline.

He assured the gathering that more educational materials and improvements would be added as long as students continue to use the library responsibly and consistently. He further expressed gratitude to all individuals and partners whose support made the project a reality, describing the library as a major investment in the community's future.

Teachers, parents, and youth leaders expressed gratitude for the facility, explaining how it will help strengthen literacy programmes, promote research skills, and support curriculum requirements for ICT. They further commended the Kyidom Henes leadership, highlighting the positive impact the project is expected to have on youth development in the community.

The commissioning concluded with a tour of the library, after which the building was formally handed over to the appropriate authorities in the community.
