MI-17 COURSE PARTICIPANTS URGED TO BE IMPACTFUL
The Deputy Chief Staff Officer (DCSO) Logistics at the Air Force Headquarters, Group Captain Ishmael Tettey Djagmah, has urged participants of the MI-17 Type Rating Course 1/2025 to think outside the box and apply the knowledge acquired to improve the Ghana Air Force’s operational efficiency.
He made these remarks during the closing ceremony of the MI-17 Type Rating Course 1/2025 held at the Ghana Air Force Aviation College (GHFAC) on Monday, 30 June 2025.
He emphasised that the four-week training, which brought together technicians and engineers from various Air Force Bases, was designed to equip participants with the technical expertise required to maintain the MI-17 helicopter fleet.
Group Captain Djagmah admonished the graduates to never compromise on safety standards.
“The knowledge you have gained here should not end with you. Go back and make an impact—apply it, share it, and ensure that safety remains a top priority in all your operations,” he stated.
During the training programme, participants were taken through topics such as Airframe Structure, Tail Rotor, Landing Gear, Flight Control Systems, and Hydraulic Systems. Other topics included Transmission Systems, Airframe Fuel System, Dust Protective Device, Electrical Systems, and Instrumentation.
