NCOS’ LEADERSHIP ACADEMY COURSE BEGINS

The Ghana Air Force Aviation College (GHAFAC) has commenced a four-week Non-Commissioned Officers’ Leadership Academy Course for forty (40) Air Force personnel drawn from various Bases. The course officially began on Monday, 19 January 2026 and is aimed at enhancing the leadership skills, professional competence, and operational effectiveness of Non-Commissioned Officers.

 

 

Addressing participants at the opening ceremony, the Commanding Officer of GHAFAC, Wing Commander Samuel Oteng Frimpong, underscored the importance of continuous education and professional development within the military. He encouraged the students to fully engage in the programme, noting that the training would equip them with essential leadership attributes and operational knowledge required for effective service delivery.

 

 

The Guest of Honour, Air Commodore Richard Danso, Commander Air Force Training Command, highlighted the significance of the course in developing a disciplined, competent, and mission-ready force. He reaffirmed the Air Force’s commitment to the continuous development of its personnel through innovative and relevant training programmes.

 

 

Air Commodore Danso further expressed appreciation to the instructors and support staff for their dedication to training Air Force personnel, and urged the course participants to remain punctual, disciplined, and actively involved in all scheduled activities throughout the duration of the course.

 

 

Also present at the ceremony were the Course Coordinator, Flight Lieutenant Julius Avenyor, and the Chief Instructor (Operations), Squadron Leader Priscilla Dzoku.
