Spanish Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Javier Gutiérrez, has paid a courtesy call on the acting Chief of the Defence Staff, who is also the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Fredrick Kwasi Asare Bekoe at the Air Force Headquarters on Wednesday 22 May 2024.

The purpose of the visit was to officially introduce the new Spanish Defence Attaché (DA), Colonel Manuel Gonzalez Calvete to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) and also to strengthen diplomatic ties between the two countries.

AVM Bekoe   welcomed   the Ambassador and the new DA to the HQ and congratulated him on his new appointment. He also highlighted on some Logistics, Defence, Training and Security cooperation between the two countries, emphasising that both countries would work together to strengthen the partnership between the defence forces. The acting CDS climaxed the meeting with the presentation of a plaque to the Ambassador.

The Ambassador, HE Javier Gutiérrez and Colonel Manuel Gonzalez Calvete expressed their gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality accorded them. They also assured of the continues collaboration and partnership with the Ghana Armed Forces.
