RETIRED COMMISSIONED AIR FORCE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION HOST END OF YEAR LUNCHEON

The Retired Commissioned Air Force Officers Association (RCAFOA) have held their annual luncheon to mark the end of a successful year on Thursday, 11 December 2025, at the Air Force Officers' Mess. The Chief Staff Officer at the Air Force Headquarters, Air Commodore Mathias Awuah, who represented the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, addressed members of the RCAFOA by acknowledging the invaluable contributions of the retired personnel, asserting that their legacy would forever inspire current and future generations in the service.

 

 

Air Commodore Awuah highlighted improvements in the training capacity for officers and airmen, which have enhanced professional development and operational efficiency across the Service. He also briefed members on ongoing accommodation projects aimed at improving living conditions for personnel at various Ghana Air Force bases.

 

 

Reaffirming the importance of institutional memory, he assured members of the RCAFOA that the Air Force Headquarters would continue to seek their advice and guidance, emphasising the value of sustained collaboration and open dialogue in advancing the development of the Ghana Air Force.

 

 

In his remarks, the President of the Retired Commissioned Air Force Officers Association, Wing Commander Daniel Gomez (Rtd), underscored the pivotal role played by retired officers in shaping Ghana’s air defence and contributing to national security. He expressed appreciation to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, for his leadership and support throughout the year.

 

 

The occasion also served as a moment of remembrance for RCAFOA members who passed away in 2025. Wing Commander Gomez (Rtd) led a minute of silence in honour of the fallen heroes and conveyed heartfelt condolences to their families.

 

 

Distinguished attendees included the former Chief of the Defence Staff and Member of the Council of State, Air Marshal Michael Samson-Oje, former Chiefs of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Frederick Asare Kwesi Bekoe, Air Vice Marshal Maxwell Mantsebi-Tei Mantse Nagai, and other retired senior officers of the Ghana Air Force.
