AFHQ DELEGATION PAYS WELFARE VISIT TO FORMER CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF

A delegation from the Air Force Headquarters (AFHQ) paid a welfare visit to former Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Julius Okyere Boateng (Rtd), on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, to celebrate his birthday and enquire about his wellbeing.

The visit forms part of the Chief of the Air Staff's commitment to maintaining strong ties with retired senior officers, recognising their invaluable contributions to the Ghana Air Force and ensuring that their welfare remains an important priority.
The delegation, led by the Director of Supply, Group Captain Mark Odarlai France, conveyed warm birthday wishes from the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong. He expressed the Service's appreciation to AVM Boateng (Rtd) for his exemplary leadership, dedicated service and lasting contributions to the growth and development of the Ghana Air Force.

Responding, AVM Julius Okyere Boateng (Rtd) warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chief of the Air Staff and the Ghana Air Force for the thoughtful gesture. He noted that the visit reflected the strong bond of camaraderie that continues to exist between the Service and its retired personnel.

As part of the visit, the delegation presented AVM Boateng (Rtd) with gifts as a token of appreciation and recognition for his distinguished service and enduring legacy in the Ghana Air Force.
