The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has officially commenced "Exercise Resolute Synergy 2026 ", a joint table top exercise aimed at strengthening national security readiness on Tuesday 25 August 2026, Burma Camp.

The exercise, themed "Enhancing Preparedness Through Joint Training " scheduled to run from 25 - 27 August 2026 seeks to sharpen the operational capabilities of the country’s security forces.

In his address, the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General William Agyapong emphasised on the critical need for seamless cooperation in the Ghana Armed forces to address contemporary security challenges.

The CDS noted that the initiative is a proactive step in refining the military's strategic response capabilities. He stressed that in an era of evolving global and regional threats, the ability to operate as a cohesive unit bridging the gap between different branches and services is essential for maintaining stability and protecting national interests.

On his part, the Director General in charge of training at the General Headquarters, Brigadier General William Kwabiah emphasised on the significance of the exercise and its role in strengthening the capabilities of the Ghana Armed Forces. He also stated that the joint table table exercise will involve a series of simulated scenarios to test command efficiency.

The event serves as a platform for the Ghana Armed Forces to evaluate their current preparedness, refine standard operating procedures and foster a culture of vigilance and operational excellence.
