GHAF COMMENCES CONSTRUCTION OF NEW 3-STOREY LECTURE HALL

The Ghana Air Force (GHAF) has taken a significant step toward bolstering its training infrastructure with the sod-cutting ceremony for a new 3-storey lecture hall complex at the Ghana Air Force Aviation College on Thursday 8 October 2026.

 

 

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, officially performed the groundbreaking ceremony, signalling the commencement of the project. In his address, he emphasised the critical importance of modernising educational facilities to meet the evolving demands of aviation training and national security. He noted that this investment reflects the Air Force’s commitment to academic excellence and maintaining high operational standards.

 

 

Highlighting the project’s significance, the Commanding Officer (CO) of the Ghana Air Force Aviation College, Wing Commander Samuel Oteng Frimpong, provided insights into the facility's intended purpose. He stated that the new 3-storey building is designed to significantly enhance the learning environment for personnel, offering state-of-the-art lecture halls and study spaces.

 

 

The CO stated that, the new infrastructure will allow the college to expand its capacity, accommodate more students and integrate advanced training technologies essential for modern aviation.

 

 

Wing Commander Frimpong also used the opportunity to express his appreciation to the Chief of the Air Staff for his support towards the initiative in putting up a new lecture hall for the Ghana Air Force Aviation College.

 

 

The project is seen as a strategic development that aligns with the Air Force’s broader mission to produce highly skilled personnel equipped to navigate the complexities of contemporary aerospace operations.
