GLICO General Insurance has made a cash donation of One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis to the Ghana Air Force in honour of the personnel who lost their lives in the recent helicopter crash.

The donation, made on Tuesday, 9 September 2025 by the Managing Director of GLICO General Insurance, Mr Andre Acheampong Kyei, was intended to support the families of the three victims and to further strengthen the long-standing relationship between GLICO and the Ghana Air Force.

In his remarks, Mr Acheampong Kyei conveyed greetings and commiserations from the Chief Executive Officer and management team of GLICO General Insurance.

He also reaffirmed GLICO’s commitment to providing unwavering support to its clients. “We stand with you always, and as insurers, we know only too well that it is in the midst of tragedy that the cushioning effect of insurance is most profoundly felt,” he stated.

Receiving the donation, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong, expressed deep appreciation to GLICO for the thoughtful gesture. He noted that the support would provide much-needed relief to the bereaved families during this difficult time.
