INDIAN DEFENCE ATTACHÉ PAYS COURTESY CALL ON THE CHIEF OF AIR STAFF
The Indian Defence Attaché to Ghana, Colonel Manoj Singh, paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong on Thursday 29 January 2026 at the Air Force Headquarters. The visit formed part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and future partnership between the two countries.

During the interaction, Colonel Manoj Singh reaffirmed India’s readiness to support the Ghana Air Force through training assistance, capacity building, exchange programmes, and collaborative engagements to boost operational effectiveness.

He further encouraged the establishment of a joint maintenance training programme and noted that both countries stand to benefit from the technical and practical aspects of this venture. Colonel Manoj Singh expressed gratitude to the Chief of the Air Staff for receiving him and described the engagement as a positive step towards deeper military cooperation.

On his part, the Chief of the Air Staff highlighted the long-standing relationship between Ghana and India and noted that the first Chief of the Air Staff was an Indian named Singh. He further acknowledged that some of the best administrative officers, who received training in India, have made significant contributions to the Ghana Air Force.
Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong also discussed the formation of a joint team aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the Ghana Air Force Aviation College, particularly in aircraft maintenance training and advisory services. This according to him, would strengthen operational efficiency and technical expertise within the Air Force.

The meeting ended with the exchange of souvenirs, symbolising the deepening friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
