PERSONNEL OF AFHQ LECTURED ON THE IMPACT OF OBESITY

A team of nutritionists from the Public Health Division of the 37 Military hospital have educated personnel of the Air Force Headquarters on  the impact of obesity on Thursday 13 March 2025, Burma camp.

 

 

The lecture was held in recognition of World Obesity Day which was on Tuesday 4 March 2025 , which aims to raise awareness about the global epidemic of obesity and its impact on health.

 

 

Flight Lieutenant Patricia Adams, a nutritionist, led the lecture, sharing critical insights on the causes, consequences and prevention strategies for obesity. She emphasised on the importance of maintaining a balanced diet and an active lifestyle, particularly in a demanding environment like the military, where physical fitness is essential.

 

 

During her presentation, Flt Lt Adams highlighted the alarming statistics surrounding obesity and its associated health risks, including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and reduced operational performance.

 

 

She engaged her audience with interactive discussions and practical tips on making healthier food choices, incorporating physical activities into daily routines and effectively managing stress-related eating.
