The Retired Commission Air Force Officers Association (RCAFOA) held a mid year cocktail party to reconnect, interact and celebrate the enduring bond among retired officers at the Air Force Officers mess on Thursday 13 August 2026.

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Eric Agyen-Frempong in his address commended the RCAFOA for their contribution to the development of the Air Force and the country as a whole. He also highlighted the importance of the association in bridging the gap between the retired and active officers.

Air Vice Marshal Agyen-Frempong also encouraged the retired officers to continue to share their knowledge and experiences with the younger generation, He praised them for their service, which has paved the way for the current state of the Air Force.

The CAS also acknowledged the efforts of spouses of the retired officers whose support, sacrifice and companionship have been an integral path of the Air Force journey, as their contribution to the lives and careers of the officers can not be overlooked.

The President of RCAFOA, Wing Commander Dr Daniel Gomez (Rtd), in his welcome address, commended the Chief of the Air Staff and the Base Commander, Air Force Base Accra, for their continuous support to veterans and their families. He emphasised the importance of maintaining strong connections among retired personnel and providing a reliable support system for one another, particularly in navigating the challenges that come with retirement.

Distinguished attendees included the former Chief of the Defence Staff and Member of the Council of State, Air Marshal Michael Samson-Oje, former Chiefs of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Frederick Asare Kwesi Bekoe, Air Vice Marshal Maxwell Mantsebi-Tei Mantse Nagai, and other retired senior officers of the Ghana Air Force.
