
AIR COMMODORE YIRENKYI URGES AIRMEN TO UPHOLD DISCIPLINE
Airmen of the Air Force Base, Accra, have been urged to maintain high standards of discipline and adhere to laid down rules to safeguard the integrity of the Ghana Air Force.
The Chief Staff Officer (CSO) at Air Force Headquarters, Air Commodore Eric Yirenkyi, emphasized the importance of dedication and commitment to proper work ethics as one of the major ways to ensure that the reputation of the Air Force and the entire Armed Forces remains unblemished. He stressed that maintaining discipline is crucial in executing the Air Force’s mandate of protecting the country’s territorial airspace.
Air Commodore Yirenkyi made these remarks at the Air Force Base Accra Junior Ranks Dinner held at the Junior Ranks Mess on Friday, 14 March 2025.
Highlighting the renovations that have transformed the Mess into a state-of-the-art facility, he encouraged personnel to patronize it and foster a stronger sense of camaraderie and improve mess life, which is essential for personnel effectiveness.
The CSO further called on the Mess Committee to explore innovative income-generating avenues to sustain the facility’s smooth operations.
He also advised all to take responsibility for the upkeep of the Mess, emphasizing that its maintenance is a collective duty.
The event was spectacular by all standards, marked by elegant setup, delicious food, refreshing drinks and soothing live music from the Silver Wings Band.
