GAF COUNSELLING CENTRE HOLDS MENTAL HEALTH TALK FOR AIRMEN

A team from the Ghana Armed Forces, Counselling Centre has held a mental health talk for personnel at the Air Force Base, Accra on Thursday 13 March 2025.

 

The seminar was to educate personnel on the need to seek professional help when experiencing any kind of mental health illness.

 

 

Interacting with personnel, Pastor Osei Boakye Prince, a counselor and   Psychologist from the Counselling center of the Ghana Armed Forces, emphasised the four dimensions of health, which include physical, social, mental and spiritual.

 

 

He  further explained that, mental health includes our emotional, psychological and social well-being which helps to determine how we handle stress. He also added that, depression increases the risk of many types of physical health problems.

 

 

Pastor Osei, adviced personnel to seek professional advise whenever they are faced with any kind of challenges for counselling.
