CADRE FOR AIR FORCE DRILL INSTRUCTORS ENDS

A 3-week drill cadre has ended for 14 Air Force drill instructors at the Drill and Duties Training School, Whistler barracks at Teshie, Accra. The aim of the cadre was to prepare the potential instructors to take up the training of Air Force personnel in Drill and Duties and other related courses.

The Guest of Honour was Air Commodore Mathias Awuah, Commander Air Force Training Command (AFTRAC). Delivering the closing address on his behalf, Colonel IB Mohammed, Commander Army Combat Training School congratulated the participants for completing the cadre successfully. He stated that “the Armed Forces has traditionally and truly depended on Warrant Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers as an indispensable link between the Officer Corps and the Junior Ranks”.

Col Mohammed noted that this role was now crucial, especially in view of the increasing complexity of society, crime and modern warfare. He also urged them to continue to upgrade their knowledge to be abreast with the changing trends in drill and to continue learning especially in areas that they know that they are lacking.

Representing the Air Force Headquarters were the Director Administration, Group Captain SA Jiagge and the Master Air Warrant Officer, Master Warrant Officer Bawa.
