The opening ceremony for the 5-week K-8 Type Rating Course 01/24 was held at the Air Force Base, Accra, on Wednesday 28 August 2024. A total of 24 personnel drawn from the various Bases are participating in the course which is aimed at enhancing their knowledge, skills and competence on the K-8 aircraft .

In his remarks, the Guest of Honour and Commanding Officer for No. 4 Strike and Recce Wing, Wing Commander Frank Ato Mills indicted that K-8 Type Rating Course will help train new personnel and also serve as a refresher course for personnel who service and maintain the aircraft. He further noted that, the students would be equipped with skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their career.

He urged the participants to give their instructors the maximum cooperation to derive the benefits. He encouraged participants to treat the course with  diligence to derive the advantage of the course.
